This personal project is an editorial design proposal for the CD and vinyl booklet of “Set Me Free”, the third track on Joshua Bassett’s debut EP. The song reflects a moment of emotional closure and the decision to move on from a toxic situation toward self-love and personal peace.
The concept "The Peace of Self-Love" is explored through a minimalist design approach that symbolizes freedom and calm. The lead typography was custom-made to evoke intimacy and connect more closely with the songwriter’s personal narrative. Throughout the booklet, a contrast of black and white elements represents the emotional highs and lows Bassett experienced during the EP's creation.
The visual direction balances a fresh, youthful energy with a more mature tone highlighting the artist’s transition from Disney figure to serious musician with a distinct voice.
