Cuentos de Barro – “La Brasa” Cover Proposal
This project is a visual exploration of La Brasa, one of the stories in Salarrué’s Cuentos de Barro. The concept, “La Belleza de la Soledad” (The Beauty of Solitude), captures the dual nature of solitude: its heaviness, but also its quiet, almost poetic beauty.
The artwork draws inspiration from El Salvador’s natural landscape, particularly its volcanoes, and from Salarrué’s own paintings, known for their curved, flowing forms. Just as the author paints solitude through words and scenery, the cover design translates that mood into a visual piece that honors both the melancholy and the beauty present in the story.
